Miles Davis - Miles in Berlin

This is a significant CD, as it marks Wayne Shorter’s first recording with Miles Davis and thus the beginning of the “Second Great Quintet.”

Sonically, they messed it up in the remastering for the "Seven Steps" Box in 2004. I still have a sticky note on the sleeve of CD 6 that reads, “Does not sound good”. For my remastering, I used the Japanese release 35DP 68 as the source. That edition had its own issues -- excessive treble and a lack of bass -- so I re-equalized the recording and made a stem separation to create a stereo image.

"Stella by Starlight" was not included on the CD, so I took it from the "Seven Steps" box.
