Miles Davis in Europe – The Complete Concert

"Miles Davis in Europe" is the first live recording of the Miles Davis Quintet with 17-year-old Tony Williams, who would become a cornerstone of the second great quintet. The concert was recorded in mono by French Radio. Four tracks were released on LP in 1964, the rest of the concert in Japanese editions or in the "Seven Steps to Berlin" box.

Since it's a professional recording, the sound is not bad, but also not overwhelming. They could have done a lot with simple equalization. Now the concert has been re-released as part of the Miles Davis Bootleg Series, Vol. 8 – again in mediocre sound.

I've remastered the concert with relatively little effort, mainly by equalization. In addition, I did a stem separation to create a stereo image with the piano on the left and the drums on the right. Convince yourself how much livelier it sounds now.
